5:00 - 6:00 PM Optional Tour of the Chemistry Department - Ilia Guzei, Larry Dahl, and John Berry will show you the Department and X-ray Facility. (Directions to the department)
6:00 - 10:00 PM Reception Dinner at the Pyle Alumni Lounge (UW-Madison). Walking distance from the Chemistry Department to the Pyle Center at 702 Langdon Street. (Directions)
10:00 PM The bus shuttles will take you back to the Quality Inn and Suites.

Transportation Info

The meeting will take place in Madison, WI. The official meeting hotel is The Quality Inn & Suites (608-274-7200). The reception dinner will be on UW-Madison campus, all other activities will be at Bruker-AXS, 5465 East Cheryl Parkway, Madison WI.

The shuttle at the The Quality Inn & Suites will drop off/pick up guests at the hotel. Ilia Guzei will be driving a 14-passenger bus as well but those of you who arrive by car may have to drive on your own. Here is the bus schedule:

05/31/09 - Hotel to Chemistry Building Downtown (1101 University Ave)-4:30 PM.
05/31/09 - Pyle Alumni Lounge (702 Langdon St) to Hotel - 9:30 PM.
06/01/09 - Hotel to Bruker in the morning - 7:30 AM (Ilia) and 8:00 AM (hotel).
06/01/09 - Bruker to Hotel/Campus-5:00 PM.
06/02/09 - Hotel to Bruker in the morning - 8:20 AM (Ilia) 8:20 AM (hotel).
06/02/09 - Bruker to Airport (by way of hotel just in case) - 3:30 PM.


Please arrange all other pick ups/drop offs from the airport with the hotel front desk.


Directions to the Chemistry Department and Pyle Alumni Lounge (Reception dinner location)

In the upper right corner of this link there is campus map in the pdf format. The entrance to the Chemistry Department is on Charter Street between Johnson and University, building code 25 on the map. Pyle Alumni Lounge (code 102) is located within walking distance at 702 Langdon Street.
